1 - 1 TIE - Temecula United  vs.  Pumas Premier FC Gold - 11/19/11
For the last game of the season, we played the second place team. We needed a win or a tie to become season champions. We gave up a penalty with only a few minutes left in the game. We were up 1 to 0. We ended the game in a tie. Our only goal came from Katelyn. It was great corner kick from Marissa. B made a great attempt to head the ball, but it bounced right over to Katelyn and she didn't let it hit the ground. It was a great one touch shot into the goal. Congratulations ladies for a great incredible season, you are all truly CHAMPIONS. You finished the season with 26 games undefeated, which included the 3 tournament prior to the season.

Excellence: is a talent or quality which is unusually good and so surpasses ordinary standards. It is also an aimed for standard of performance.

The Temecula United U16 Girls just completed a “3 Tournament Journey” that Coaches, Parents, Family, Friends and Players will never forget. The United Ladies ended their Tournament season in spectacular fashion. Not only by winning 3 Tournaments consecutively, but continuing their streak of staying undefeated in all three tournaments, AND not allowing a single goal in all three tournaments.

In order to win their third tournament in a row the Ladies would need to be successful twice against the tournament favorite Los Gauchos. The Los Gauchos had completed their league season undefeated and allowed only four goals while scoring 63 times in 14 games.

The first match against the Los Gauchos was in bracket play and ended without a goal being scored by either team. When bracket play was complete by all the teams the United Ladies found themselves in the final vs. the Los Gauchos. The final match had no goals scored by either team at the conclusion of regulation time and required PK’s to determine a champion.

The first phase, best of the 5 PK’s and again tied! Then we went to sudden death PK’s. The Gauchos missed their PK and Laing our Co-Captain converted her PK for the match winning goal! Game over! Championship won! The Los Gauchos team was truly a worthy opponent and for everyone watching, it was an exciting on edge of your seat match!

The United Ladies live their “Expect2Win” motto.

Yes our Girls win games but more importantly they win hearts with their hearts. Thank you Ladies, from Coach Mike, Coach Manny and Coach Glen.

We are very proud to announce that the Temecula United Girls U16 won their second Tournament Championship in as many weeks.
During this stretch the Temecula United Lady Champions posted no loses in 8 games and all 8 games were shutouts. This weekend’s success was highlighted by the return of several injured players, (Lorena, Khalia, and Dana N). The girls are dedicated competitive players with the will to win and the belief that they will. They are truly “United” and” Loyal” teammates and a gift to coach.

Temecula United Girls Under 16 Team went undefeated in the Copa Del Mar Tournament.
Entering the Del Mar tournament our team knew that it would be without 5 of their teammates because of injuries. True to the character of our girls their focus was on the challenge that was ahead of them. Game #3 was the true test for our girls. We had to score at least 2 goals without giving up a goal to make it to the finals. With under a minute to go we were up 1 – 0 and needed 1 more goal to qualify for the finals. Christina (our keeper) blasted a punt down the field into our attacking third. Our girls controlled the ball and scored the 2nd goal with 30 seconds left in the game. In the finals we went on to win 3-0. No goals were scored against TU for the entire tournament.
