Temecula United GU10 Finalist at
Copa Del Mar
On
the first day of the tournament,
after a slow start against Arsenal
FC North, the girls had an
extraordinary performance winning
6-0 against Carlsbad Lighting.
The second day the girls knew would
bring bigger challenges facing a
tough Vaqueros team. After a
tough game the girls we were able to
score the winning goal and and earn
the right to fight for second place
against RSM storm. RSM scored
an early goal on the TUSC, but the
girls were able to fight back and
tie the game moments before the
half. The second half was hard
fought with the TUSC girls scoring
the winning goal with only 4 minutes
left. The young ladies held on
to capture the victory and the
second place in the tournament.
Congratulations on the win. We
are proud of you.

Temecula United GU11 team romps at
Elite Cup
Girls under 11 team coached by Scott
Savidan advanced to the finals of
the Elite Cup Tournament.
They started off with a solidvictory
over Chula Vista Rangers 3-0, then
played local rivals FC Murrieta in a
very exciting back and forth match
in the midst of late afternoon
tornado like winds ripping through
John Blanche Soccer Complex. After
several scoring chances being
disrupted by the huge gusts Murrieta
squeaked out a 2-1 victory. The next
morning TUSC faced a very big and
tough Corona United who had won
against FC Murietta the day before.
The girls prevailed in a very tough
match 1-0. This allowed the girls to
advance to the finals to face FC
Murietta one more time, where they
came up a little short to end the
tournament as the runner up.
Congratulations girls we are all
very proud of you.
